Terms of Service
Last updated 15 August 2026
In short. We give you a dashboard over your own marketplace data. You keep ownership of your data. We do our best to keep the numbers right, but you should verify anything you rely on for tax or a major business decision.
1. The service
OctoMargin provides a subscription dashboard that retrieves your marketplace seller data and presents sales, profit, inventory, listing and advertising analysis. Features vary by plan.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- One subscription covers one seller business. Sharing an account across separate businesses is not permitted.
- You must have the right to access the marketplace accounts you connect.
3. Your data
Your business data remains yours. We process it only to operate the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or request deletion at any time.
4. Fees
- Plans are billed monthly in Indian rupees and are exclusive of GST, which is charged at the applicable rate.
- Fees are payable in advance. Access may be suspended if a subscription lapses.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase.
5. Accuracy — please read
The dashboard reports figures derived from the reports your marketplaces give us. Marketplaces occasionally restate, delay or omit data, and their report formats change without notice.
- Figures are for management information. They are not a statutory record.
- Do not file a GST return, or any other statutory return, from this dashboard alone. Reconcile against your marketplace settlement reports and your accountant's records.
- Where we cannot compute a figure honestly — for example profit before you have entered product costs — we show a dash rather than a number. A dash means "unknown", not "zero".
6. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Marketplace APIs, rate limits and platform maintenance are outside our control. We will give notice of planned maintenance where practical.
7. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to access another customer's data, probe or attack the service, resell access without a written agreement, or use the service to breach any marketplace's own terms.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost sales.
9. Ending the agreement
- You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing month.
- We may suspend or end an account for non-payment or for a breach of these terms.
- On cancellation you may request an export. Data is deleted per the retention period in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to active customers at least 30 days in advance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction.
